Webinar: Reducing Colorado's Risk to Geologic and Soil Hazards

Learn about how geologic and soil hazards impact many Colorado communities and how local governments can plan for these types of hazards. This webinar focuses on how to assess and mitigate community risk to hazards like landslides, rock falls, debris flows, and expansive soils; and explores the different types of land use tools and resources available to planners looking to take action. This webinar will provides planners the opportunity to learn about geologic and soil hazard mitigation in Colorado, services available for local planners, and the Colorado Geological Survey’s Land Use Review Program and process. Also, hear from the City of Colorado Springs about efforts to plan for geologic risk, including, the development and adoption of a recent landslide ordinance.
